The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla from the rostrum of the Parliament has given the good news to all Albanians, saying that there is an agreement of 27 European Union countries to hold the first intergovernmental conference on Albania and Northern Macedonia next week. 

"I want to share important news regarding our journey towards EU membership which has to do with the fact that there is a full agreement between the 27 EU member states to hold next week the First Intergovernmental Conference between Albania and EU.

It is an important moment, this after several hours of communications of the member parliaments. The Czech ambassador, with whom I had the opportunity to communicate, has just left.

Political agreement has already been reached and the holding of the Intergovernmental Conference next week is a fact. The start of talks is good news for all Albanians. Those who want to protest next week don't want the best for Albanians," Balla said.
