Albania Imposes 14-Day Quarantine for Travellers from Greece, N. Macedonia

Albania has decided to impose a mandatory 14-day quarantine for visitors from Greece and North Macedonia. The decision was communicated this Monday from the Technical Committee of Experts and it will enters in force since Tuesday.

The decision according to the vice Minister of Health, Mira Rakacolli was taken due to the high level of new infections and deaths in the neighboring countries reported during the last week.

Albania is continuing with low levels of new infections and deaths during April. Last 24-hours, 139 people have tested positive of Covid-19 while 2 have died. Just more than a month ago, the figures were dangerously high with more than 1000 infected and up to 20 deaths per day.
