Albania’s Democratic Party Launches New Protest Season
The Democratic Party’s sixth “Foltorja” forum has just started marking the start of a new season of protests against the government.
Opposition leader Sali Berisha has joined protesters gathered in the square in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The opening speech was delivered by Democratic Party Vice Chairman and lawmaker Luçiano Boçi.
The Democratic Party protests aim to force Prime Minister Edi Rama out of power after the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) required the arrest of his vice Belinda Balluku.
