A 45-year-old Albanian man has passed away due to an accident that occurred on Saturday evening in Italy, as reported Monday.

Italian media have revealed that the Albanian has been identified as Lorenc Beqiraj, a businessman originally from Durrës but who has long lived in Ravenna, Italy.

According to the reports, he was traveling in his car to Forli to meet his fiancée, Sandra Tampieri. He was engaged to Sandra Tampieri, a well-known TV personality in the neighboring state, for a year and a half, says the Italian press.

Under still unclear circumstances, he lost control of his Alfa Romeo type vehicle and the car went off the road overturning.

Sandra Tampieri herself has reacted on social networks after the news of the death of the 45-year-old Albanian.

"My love died in a car accident while coming from Ravenna to Forli. He was not answering me on the phone, I got in the car and went to Ravegnana. The police had blocked the road and I did not have a bad premonition. My Lorenzo was dead, the man I had lived the most beautiful year of my life with, the one I loved more than myself. When I learned the news, they sent me to the hospital and I went to meet his parents because for me they will remain my real family", wrote Sandra Tampieri, among others.
