Albanian National Caught Attempting to Traffic Cocaine in Dom Republic
An Albanian man was arrested in the Dominican Republic for allegedly attempting to traffic cocaine over the weekend.
The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) said the man was stopped after an X-ray of his luggage revealed contraband hidden inside.
On opening the first suitcase, several items of clothing and a backpack, containing 19 packages of cocaine were found. A search of the second suitcase revealed another backpack with 21 blocks of the illegal drug.
