April 25 Elections, CEC Receives Electronic Identification Devices
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has received 5500 electronic identification devices this Monday.
The electronic device will be used by over 50 thousand voters of Unit number 10, in Tirana, to vote on April 25.
This area has been selected to conduct electronic voting and counting and the CEC has opened the first spot, where for several days in a row, residents of this unit will go to vote in order to learn the process.
This process was verified even by the head of the CEC. Unit 10 will be the first to have an election result 30 minutes to an hour after the last vote, but the announcement of the result at that time is still in doubt.
The CEC has spent tens of millions of euros to conduct electronic voting and counting in the 35 polling stations of Unit 10 in Tirana, but also the electronic identification of voters throughout the country.
