Ballsh Oil Workers Gather in Protest

The oil workers of the oil refinery in Ballsh have gathered this Thursday in front of the plant to protest against their unemployment.

As a year has passed since the protests, the oil workers emphasize that although the 12th salary has been taken, no decision has been given by Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding their fate for the future.

The President of the Oil Workers' Union, Sokol Dautaj, called on the opposition MPs to talk about this issue while emphasizing that they are remembered only when there are elections.

"There is still no answer to the fate of the plant. A year has passed. The 12th salary is given. There is no decision from Mr. Prime Minister. We had hoped for a solution in a short time. We had no contact with anyone although we hoped for solutions in the short term. Parallel to the resumption of work is the trial that we took to the SPAK in October last year, near the economic crime and the Fier prosecutor's office. There are about 340 people on trial and they probably want this trial to be postponed. We are with the option of resuming work even though the idea of ??dismantling has been thrown at. Opposition MPs should also speak. When they come for votes, they attack the oil workers. We hope that there will be a solution as soon as possible because there is no other option than refining ", said Dautaj.
