Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has made a strong statement during an electoral meeting with Democrats in the city of Korca, where he said that when the DP comes to power, it will declare multi-billionaire George Soros non-grata. 

According to Berisha, the philanthropist Soros is an enemy of democracy in Albania, who according to the former prime minister is engaged in the exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia. 

Among other things, Berisha has revealed the request he has made to the European Parliament and the US Congress. Berisha said that he has asked these two instances to stop any Soros political activity outside the US. 

"I guarantee you that from the first acts of the ruling DP, George Soros will be non-grata. George Soros, with the restoration of monism in civil society in Albania, with the establishment of justice with his reform of government control, with his direct involvement in the exchange of territories between Serbia and Kosovo and other projects, is a real enemy of Albanian democracy. I have asked the European Parliament and the US Congress to stop all his political activities outside the US. For Albania, he will no longer have a place, and his activity will not be exercised in Albania" - said Berisha.
