Poliçan police have cracked down on a case of attempted cultivation of narcotic plants this Tuesday, detaining two citizens.

During the action, the blue uniforms arrested in flagrante delicto the two perpetrators, who were trying to plant cannabis with cubes.

“Poliçan Police Services, based on the information provided, following the control of the territory, in order to identify and crack down on cases of attempted cultivation of narcotic plants, have identified in the village of Zgërbonjë, Poliçan, a case of cultivation of suspected seedlings cannabis sativa in cube.

At the end of the first investigative actions, the Crime Investigation Specialists at the Poliçan Police Station arrested in flagrante delicto the citizens:

F. I., 65 years old, resident in the village of Zgërbonjë, Poliçan and R. I., 33 years old, after suspected cannabis sativa seedlings were found cultivated in cubes, in the mine inside the olive grove owned by them," it is written in the police announcement.

The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office of the Judicial District of Berat, for further action.
