Citizens Detained in Vlorë Port for Falsifying Covid-19 Tests

Vlora Police has arrested one person and prosecuted two others, for attempting to cross the border with a falsified COVID-19 test.

The 35-year-old from Fier, A. D., has been handcuffed, while G. C., 57 years old, and V. B., 73 years old, resident in Italy are being investigated.

“Following the work to prevent, identify and crack down on illegality, the Border Police services of the Port of Vlora, in cooperation with the Section for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in Vlora, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen A.D., 35 years old, resident in Fier and prosecuted with no security measures the Italian citizen G.C., 57 years old and V.B., 73 years old, residents in Italy, for the criminal offense "Forgery of health documents".

The two Italian citizens who were going to travel to Italy were ascertained by the Border Police services of the Port of Vlora during the processing of the documentation with the forged Covid-19 test, which are suspected to have been forged by the citizen A. D.

The materials were referred to the prosecution for further actions,” it is written in the police announcement.
