The Public Health Institution (PHI) confirmed on Sunday that the number of the new infections marked a slight decrease in the last weeks in Albania as the counties most affected are those with the highest population as Tirana and Durresi. 

"We have actually reached a stability referring to pandemic. The most affected cities are Tirana, Durresi, Elbasani and Fieri while so far were decreased in 270 cases of Covid-19 confirmed for 100.000 population," confirmed PHI. 

But although the good news, the experts fear a new wave as it actually is happening in EU countries. 

"The situation in Europe and USA is showing that the levels of new infections are increasing as winter approaches. Vaccination is the only weapon that we have against the virus," said PHI.

Those who are the most affected by Covid-19 are people over 65 years old and ages between 30-50.
