Covid-19, Albania’s New Infections Fall as Recoveries Surpass 130.000
Positive developments have been noted these last 24 hours regarding the coronavirus pandemic in Albania after several days of higher figures since the anti-pandemic restrictions were further eased on July 1.
Ministry of Health has confirmed Monday that 11 citizens have tests positive for the SARS-CoV-2, with Tirana, Korça, Elbasan having the highest number of cases (2 cases each) while Has, Kavaja, Vlora, Kamza and Peqin had only 1 case each.
Based on the released information, there are currently 160 active COVID-19 patients nationwide and 6 patients are receiving specialized healthcare treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Fortunately, no coronavirus fatalities have been recorded in the last 24 hours and 7 citizens have been cured, bringing the number of cured to 130,081 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Despite the improved pandemic figures, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to the citizens to continue to strictly implement the rules for the prevention of COVID19 and not to neglect any signs of the disease.
