Cyber Attack Hits Kosovo, Internet Services Interrupted

Kosovo Telecom on Tuesday fell prey to cyber attacks. This attack caused internet services to go down from 8 am. "Due to the impossibility of stopping the attack, Telekom has stopped the services", the technical director of Telekom, Halil Krasniqi, confirmed.

Kosovo and the countries of the region have recently faced an increase in cyber attacks. As a consequence of this, Albania has severed diplomatic relations with Iran, which is suspected of being behind the attack on the TIMS system. But Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Sunday that the attackers did not achieve their goal and the border point systems are working.

The e-Kosova platform, the website of the Prime Minister's Office, some ministries, the Kosovo Police and many media outlets have been the target of cyber attacks during the past week.
