Democrat MP Slams Govt as Former Socialist MP Released from Prison
MP of the Democratic Party (DP), Jorida Tabaku, has slammed government this Thursday as former socialist MP, Alqi Blako, who was released from prison and the court decided "house arrest" on him.
From the floor of the Assembly, Tabaku listed some issues that, according to her, have affected the Albanian citizens by killing their hope for the future.
Tabaku stated that there is no meritocracy in our country and that corruption is not being fought, so this is the reason why Alqi Blako, despite signing the decisions on the incinerator affair, is released from prison today.
"This is the government today, it is the government of opportunities for the few, it is the government of taxes and fees for those who work. It is the government of few opportunities that does not increase the salaries of the lecturers, but increases the energy price tariff for the middle class. Therefore, there is no hope, because there is no meritocracy, because corruption is not fought, as Alqi Blako, in cooperation with the government, signed the decisions, 430 million euros for 3 incinerators that do not exist and today he is outside the prison bars.
Therefore, today we must fight once again to talk about the independence of SPAK, about the independence of the independent institutions of justice reform. Because otherwise all these speeches with integrations, with collaborations, with common laws, with reform in justice are 0 before what should act today, the justice that should act", said Tabaku.
