National Assembly of the Democratic Party (DP) is the only way how to build in the future a democratic Albania for everyone, underlined Sunday the Former Minister of Health and MP of the DP, Tritan Shehu.

Following meetings of the historical leader and Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha in Gjirokastra, Shehu said that the participation was not just a matter of numbers, but dialogue and active meetings.

Furthermore, the Democrat proclaimed that the activity held by Berisha in Gjirokastra openly showed the will of the citizens for a strong, inclusive and open DP.

In the meantime, the Democratic MP emphasizes that to formalize these aspirations and to make the Democratic Party a driving engine of society, the only way is the National Assembly of the political entity.

“Gjirokastra Region, with that rostrum, apart from confirming its values ​​in respect of democracy, diversity, dialogue, protection of the right of everyone to be part of decisions through free voting, the foundation of Western, European and American principles and freedoms, from where these wonderful people have always turned the ‘face’ and have had hope.

It was that participation, not just numerical, but active, dialogical, that best confirmed this.

Residents of Gjirokastra, Permet, Tepelena, Dropulli, Libohova, Kelcyra, Memaliaj do not have complexes, they are free people in their beliefs and decision-making, therefore they are open to listening and confronting ideas, participating in debates and discussions.

They are not afraid of them, they do not avoid them, precisely to consolidate their thoughts and to be part of the solutions, no matter how difficult they seem.

That is why they were so active and present in the activities of that day with Mr. Berisha, clearly demonstrating their will for an open, strong DP, all inclusive, precisely to build tomorrow together a democratic Albania of all.

And to formalize these thoughts and aspirations, to make the DP dynamic, transparent, a moving engine of Albanian society, today there is only one way:

- Directing all these healthy debates, thoughts and ideas in the DP institutions.

And for this there is already only one, it is the National Assembly of PD.

This coincides exactly with this phase, in the face of problems and dangers for the DP, as an absolute necessity.

No one can hesitate now in the face of this reality, which requires a democratic, institutional, statutory, all-encompassing solution that begins with the Congress.

It is the only place of our principled discussion and rational decision-making, necessary for them to be together in our efforts to rise not only as PD, but also as opposition.

In order to increase and strengthen our role, for the tomorrow overthrow of this regime”, stated Shehu.
