Tension was reported this Wednesday in the area of "5 May" in Tirana, where dozens of police officers have cordoned off the area since the early hours of the morning, where 3 apartments will be demolished. 

Police also intervened violently inside the apartments, removing several citizens, including children. While some residents have been escorted to police station. Although the demolition of the flats was scheduled to start around 10:00 this morning, the fieldwork started much earlier than the official schedule. 

The intervention was made at 03:00 in the morning, initially turning off the electricity. Local media reports that the area is surrounded by numerous police forces, which do not even allow the media to enter.

The demolition of 3 apartments is foreseen today, and then the process will continue with other buildings in the coming days, as a new residential area will be built in '5 Maji'.
