Majority Accused of Obstructing Work of Inquiry Committee for Elections

The chairman of the parliamentary inquiry committee for the April 25 elections, Enkelejd Alibeaj, spoke after the departure of the majority from this committee, accusing them of obstructing the work with a boycott.

According to Alibeaj, the goal of the majority "is to prevent Edi Rama from being called as a witness".

"They do not want to allow Edi Rama to be called as a witness, to call and get documents for the patronageists who are in the SP headquarters, they do not want to get information about the rewards of 120 million euros for the reconstructions, they have received money from the state budget, even those who had no problems with the earthquake versus the vote. They do not want to give official data on temporary employment before the elections, in order to get the vote", said the head of the committee.

Further, he stated once again that a request will be filed for disciplinary proceedings and criminal charges against the administration of the Parliament for interrupting the broadcast signal of the investigative committee.

"For the administration that enters furiously in violation of the rules to prevent the works that remove the signal, they are so panicked that they remove the signal so that the media and the public do not see what we are investigating, these are the obligations of every one of my MPs. We filed a request for disciplinary proceedings and criminal charges for abuse of office for obstruction of the work of the Parliament," Alibeaj said.
