Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha has congratulated Thursday the citizens of Kosovo on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of Independence.

On his Facebook, he has published profile a video from the Independence Day in Kosovo where citizens are seen celebrating.

"Happy Independence of Kosovo! Happy this lucky day to Albanians all over the world. On the 14th anniversary of the state of Kosovo, we bow with honor and gratitude to President Ibrahim Rugova, Legendary Commander Adem Jashari, fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, activists, patriots, the sons and daughters of our nation who have made the most sublime sacrifice for independence.

This beautiful dream of freedom is today the most vibrant democracy in the region that, despite the difficulties, already enjoys the strong roots of a state with consolidated institutions and political stability, which works with extraordinary will and commitment to Euro-Atlantic integration.

Even in these challenging times, I am proud of the achievements so far and hopeful for the future of Kosovo, with which we will move fraternally forward, towards our European destiny. Happy Kosovo dear”, said Basha.
