The deputy chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Jorida Tabaku, has requested an investigation on behalf of the opposition for the increase of the price of bread and flour. 

Tabaku says that within 3 weeks the Competition Authority should be summoned to a hearing. She stressed that this increase does not depend on external factors, but on internal and needs transparency on how the price of bread flour increased within the day. 

"Let's call the Competition Authority for a hearing. The increase of the price of bread and flour within 1 day, pushes us to take an initiative for a market investigation. The created situation obliges us as a Commission to be responsible, for those that have voted for us, to show why the price has risen. I believe that everyone is aware that this is a situation that does not depend on the external situation. I believe that the MPs of this committee need transparency,'' said Tabaku.
