Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha spoke Thursday immediately after the meeting with the parliamentary group where they decided to vote in favor of extending the vetting bodies, saying that are giving a chance to a justice to be restored.

Basha stressed that such a decision does not contradict their principles, but it is exactly what they have said and want to do and support the country's integration into the EU.

Among other things, Basha said that within a few days, the “Bermuda triangle”, led by Edi Rama and Berisha did everything to remove the IOM from Albania and the vetting to go in an unknown direction.

Furthermore, he stressed that in this plenary session will be voted on two important reforms that have been initiated by the DP, the electoral reform and territorial reform.

"Justice reform has had its ups and downs and continues to have them. The Bermuda Triangle has done everything to remove the OMN from Albania and for vetting to go in an unknown direction, with all the problems with KPC members and Corrupt KPA, there is only one chance for Albania to become part of Europe, for criminals not to be in parliament, it is not the justice we want, but it would be worse if this process was left in the middle and the country's European integration would be interrupted, for the sake of the country's European integration we will do everything, we are giving a chance to a justice to be restored.

Today the assembly will pass the approval of 2 important commissions that are Albania's priorities for electoral reform and territorial redistribution of Albania, are not only my commitments, but of all Albanians, electoral reform is the reason why we are in parliament, during the election campaign, citizens' concern has been territorial reform. Vetting in politics, banning the prime minister from having more than 2 terms, changing the electoral system, a clean majority system is part of a wider constitutional package, cannot happen in the conditions when the request for extension of vetting in justice, because it is related to some procedural aspects", said Basha.
