Ambassador of the European Union in Albania, Luigi Soreca has visited Tuesday Lulzim Basha in the blue headquarters, after the latter was re-elected as Chair of the Democratic Party (DP).

During their meeting, the two officials have talked about the actual political situation before the new Socialist-majority legislature starting next September and the next steps in the framework of Albania’s membership process into the EU.

“After his re-election as Chairman of Democratic Party of Albania, I met today Lulzim Basha to discuss the current political situation in the run up to the new legislature starting next September, as well as the important next steps in the EU integration process of Albania”, tweeted Ambassador Soreca.
