EU Condemns Violence in Kosovo Parliament
Office of the European Union in Kosovo has condemned the violence that occurred on Thursday in the Assembly of Kosovo between deputies and ministers.
The head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, wrote on Twitter that the physical attacks that happened on Thursday are disappointing, adding that the Assembly of Kosovo is not a place where violence can be exercised.
"Disappointing scenes of violence were seen today in the Parliament. The Assembly is not a place for physical attacks, but a place to discuss proposals and policies in a democratic way. Discussions and the exchange of ideas are the basic foundations of a democracy," Szunyog wrote on Twitter.
During the speech of Prime Minister Albin Kurti in today's session of the Assembly, deputies and ministers were involved in a physical fight.
