Fight against Corruption Is Vital for Albania; Basha

The leader of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha, has returned to the accusations against the incinerators, where he recently published some images where he himself is heard to denounce this corrupt affair since November 2017.

The leader of the Democrats says that time has given the right to his denunciations. As he did yesterday, Basha made strong accusations against the head of government, saying that Edi Rama is behind the three scandals for incinerators, in Elbasan, Tirana and Fier.

"The fight against corruption is vital for Albania, without concrete results against this enemy of the welfare of citizens, nothing can change", Basha notes.

Basha's video of 2017

Lulzim Basha: Incinerator projects have been discovered as corrupt and criminal projects and scandals. Why do we say that? At the moment there are 3 incinerators or projects for incinerators, it is that of Elbasan, it is that of Fier and that of Tirana. The media have already revealed and made the documents available to the public because all three are controlled by the same person, who serves as a figurative to hide the real owners. Therefore, my call is to the Supreme State Audit and the Prosecution, to immediately start the investigation for those who are damaging the public state of Albanians on the one hand and are robbing state funds, Albanian taxpayers' funds on the other.

Edi Rama: I have supported this project since the first day we voted for it in the Council of Ministers. I am very grateful to the ministers, the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Finance who, although he is from Gjirokastra, in this case, didn't hesitate to provide the necessary money. This is the change that happens when the Socialist Party holds the keys to the house.
