The chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Enkelejd Alibeaj called a disaster the first round of the presidential election that lasted only five minutes after no candidate was nominated. 

Speaking to the media after the plenary session, Enkelejd Alibeaj said that the opposition did its job, but added that it is still waiting for a response from the majority to react to the statement submitted to the socialists and other parliamentary groups. 

"It is a disaster that the first round of the presidential election ends in 5 minutes. It is well understood what lies behind this. We as the opposition did our job. The reasoning is simple, this majority has the legitimacy to elect the president. Our position is clear. We have made a statement officially addressed to the majority and other parliamentary groups. We are waiting for a response," stated Alibeaj.
