Five Arrested for Pogradec’s Assassination Attempt

Five people have been handcuffed Tuesday in relation to the injury of Johan Muçllari yesterday in Pogradec, on the criminal charge of “Failure to report a crime”: Fatjon Bono, Kristian Kresto, Hekuran Gjona, Ledion Shkullaku and Rudi Shaho.

From the collected evidence, the police has revealed that it turns out that these persons in cooperation with each other, with vehicles and active actions, are suspected to have helped the suspected perpetrators of the event to leave the scene.

"Following the investigative work for the full documentation of the event that took place yesterday afternoon, in the city of Pogradec, where citizens F. B., 21 years old and G. M., 20 years old, resident in Pogradec, during a conflict, tried to kill with firearms pistol citizen J. M., 22 years old, resident in Pogradec, specialists for Crime Investigation at the Pogradec Police Station made the arrest in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offenses "Failure to escalate the crime", "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth" and "Supporting the perpetrator crime ”, of citizens: B., 32 years old, resident of the village of Vërdovë, Pogradec; K. K., 26 years old; H. Gj., 22 years old; L. Sh., 27 years old; R. Sh., 28 years old, resident in Pogradec. From the collected evidence, it results that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, with vehicles and active actions, are suspected to have helped the suspected perpetrators of the event, to leave the scene", announced the police.

Furthermore, 3 cars that were used by the perpetrators to leave the scene were seized as material evidence: a "Volkswagen Golf" was found and seized, used by the citizen F. B., , as well as the vehicles type "Benz" and "BMW X5 ?, with which the citizens F. B. and G. M., were helped to leave the scene.

Meanwhile, two perpetrators of the event, Firdeus Berberi and Griseld Maxhari, are still wanted, who have been declared wanted for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder", committed in collaboration, remaining in an attempt, "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Disturbing the public peace”.

Afterwards, the materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the Pogradec Court of First Instance for further action.
