Foreign Affairs Committee Meeting Postponed

The Parliament has postponed the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee scheduled to take place this Monday at 10:00.

Democratic Party (DP) MPs had stated they would be physically on the committee despite the meeting being announced online. Already the meeting is expected to convene the next day at 1:30 p.m.

"After a consultation with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the impossibility of the physical presence of some of the diplomats who have been proposed to take up the post of ambassador, the meeting of the Foreign Policy Committee will take place online on Tuesday at 14.00 ( in order to match the schedule of ambassadors located in the US). The meeting for the constitution of the Commission will be realized on Tuesday, on September 28, 2021, at 13.30 ", it is said in the announcement.

The majority demands online committees' meetings due to the pandemic, while the DP is against stating that vaccinated MPs do not pose a risk for the spread of COVID.
