The Democrat MP Ervin Salianji commented this Saturday in a statement to the media on the sentence of 3.4 years in prison of the former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri. The political leader of the Korca region, Salianji warned that Tahiri's sentence is just the beginning. 

"The sentence of the most appreciated and petted former minister is the biggest proof that Albania turned into a drug paradise in the Renaissance government. Under Tahiri's leadership and Rama's blessing the cannabis scenario became a frightening scenario. 

Saimir Tahiri's sentencing is just the beginning. Starting the journey of punishing the abusers of power, he is and should be the first in a long list of leaders of the Renaissance," Salianji said.
