French President Warns of Global Food Crisis

French President Emmanuel Macron has said we are close to a food crisis, stressing that Ukraine and Russia are the two main exporters of staple foods.

Macron has stressed that some countries, including some in the Middle East and North Africa, are dependent on Ukrainian and Russian exports.

The situation will be even worse after a year to 18 months he says, as Ukrainian farmers will not be able to plant new crops. He calls on Western countries and international organizations to mobilize against the coming crisis.
