Gjirokastra Deadly Crash Caused by 22-Year-Old with Rented Car

Action of removing the dead bodies from the van that fell into the abyss in Qafë Muzinë of Gjirokastër-Saranda road and resulted in the death of five people.

Cause of the tragic accident was reportedly the wrong overtaking of the "Land Rover" vehicle, which entered the turn quicker than it should have.

Meanwhile, the driver of the "Land Rover" vehicle, the 22-year-old Rexhina Çelhaka, resident in Tirana, was slightly injured, along with the two Italian citizens. Based on teh information at hand, the 22-year-old Çelhaka had rented the vehicle.

The victims of the accident are two women and three men, where the driver of the vehicle, Bardhi Proda, and the couple, Fiqiri and Dritë Korçari, have been identified.

Albaniandailynews.com has learned that fortunately, a girl was taken out of the van alive and she is Greta Kaberdini, 25 years old. At the moment, she in Gjirokastra Hospital and does not risk losing her life.
