GJKKO Changes Measure for Doctor Accused of Corruption

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO), has changed the security measure for the doctor Shkëlqim Korbi, leaving the latter under "house arrest".

The doctor asked for the safety measure to be changed due to health problems and his request was granted by the court.

We bring to your attention that Korbi was handcuffed after suspicions of a corruption scheme in the Court of Kruja, where Judge Enkelejda Hoxha was involved.

During his arrest, SPAK (Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime) indicated that Korbi was a psychiatric-legal expert at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, suspected of "false expertise".

According to the SPAK file, the doctor issued a false expertise in order to obtain the parole of Gentian Nezaj and Saimir Petani.
