Greece Opens More Counters to Facilitate Traffic Jam at Kakavija Border

As a result of the high flow at the exit from the Kakavija border point in Greece, the Greek side has increased the number of counters and is working with an accelerated procedure for vehicles entering Albanian land.

The measures came after the increase in the flow this Saturday morning and a bilateral meeting between the leaders of the border of both sides held this morning.

This morning, in the Greek part, the queues of vehicles to enter Albania reached up to 4 km.

As reported, the Greek side only worked with 2 counters at the exit and at the entrance. While the Albanian side works with four counters at the entrance and three at the exit. The large flow of cars was recorded today on the first day of the weekend, which corresponds to the peak of the holiday season.
