Italy, Albanian Arrested for Murder of Retired Banker at ATM
Albanian citizen Paulin Meçaj, 31 years old has been handcuffed by the Carabinieri on the criminal charge of murder. He was detained after Giovanni Caramuscio, a 69-year-old retired bank official was shot twice in the chest and killed.

Italian media have reported Sunday that Caramuscio attempted to stand up to two robbers who assaulted him late in the evening while he was withdrawing cash from an ATM. One of the two was armed with a pistol and fired by hitting him twice in the chest in Lequile town, Italian province of Lecce in the Apulia region of south-east Italy.
However, the entire criminal event took place in front of the victim’s wife, who was waiting for her husband in the car, after having spent the evening in the company of relatives and was about to return home to nearby Monteroni.
One of the two alleged attackers identified, who allegedly fired a 9-caliber Beretta, revealed the quotidiano.net.
