Japan Towards Four-Day Work in a Week

An increasing number of Japanese companies are applying for four working days a week with the possibility for employees to better balance family life with work or have the right time to update and improve their professional skills.

The news has been confirmed by the Japanese media, according to which many companies consider such an option a help to attract new talents or to keep existing ones in their jobs. 

The latest among the major Japanese companies to support the initiative is Panasonic Holdings Corporation. The industrial company stated that the four-day workweek will be made available to some employees within the fiscal year that has just begun. The Japanese government encouraged the reduction of working days in the lines of economic policy adopted a year ago.
