Korca Ex-Policeman Arrested for Breaking 'House Arrest'

Former police officer of Korça area, Enea Qose, has been detained Friday after breaking the house arrest order. 

In May of this year, Qose was arrested on "Abuse of office" charges after taking a bribe from a citizen of Kosovo. 

At the time, the Court decided that Qose should serve his sentence under "house arrest", and today his former colleagues, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency (PSA), caught him in a bar in neighborhood number 4 of Pogradec. 

Meanwhile, the first investigative materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance Pogradec for further actions. 

"Investigation Department of Korça PSA, in cooperation with the Pogradec Police Station, arrested in the act the citizen E.Q., 24 years old, for the criminal offense of "Removing the prisoner from the place of residence". 

On 08.09.2022, around 10:30 p.m., this police officer (suspended and under investigation with the personal security measure of "House Arrest") was caught red-handed in the premises of a Coffee Bar business in neighborhood No. 4 Pogradec, breaking the measure of "House Arrest" imposed by the Court of First Instance Pogradec, within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 163, year 2022 (under investigation). 

This criminal proceeding was registered on the reference material sent by AMP Korçë, since on 18.05.2022 he was detained on the initiative of the judicial police officers of AMP, as a suspect for the criminal offenses "Theft committed by abusing duty" and "Forgery of documents".
