A man 39-year-old, was arrested this Sunday by Kosovo authorities after the drug lab discovered in Cerrik with 1 ton of cannabis sativa.

The arrested is Engjellush Ibrahimi, who is actually left in jail on drug trafficking charges.

After the arrest he is expected to be extradited to Albania. 

“As a result of the exchange of information and coordination of work between the Cërrik, Police Commissariat and law enforcement agencies in Kosovo, it was possible to capture and arrest, with the aim of extradition to Kosovo, the internationally wanted citizen Engjëllush Ibrahimi, 39 years old, resident of Cërrik.

The Basic Court of Peja has assigned this citizen the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offenses “Cultivation of hashish plants, cocaine bushes or cannabis plants” and “Unauthorized purchase, possession and sale of narcotics, psychotropic and analogous substances”, provided for by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo”, the police announced.
