Officer of Lezha Police has attempted to rape an underage girl by taking advantage of the fact that the minor was unaccompanied by adults, the Service for Internal Affairs and Complaints (SHCBA) announced Tuesday.

Through deception that he would accompany her to the Police Station and abusing the attributes given to him by functional duties, the disgraceful policeman with initials K. K., has taken the minor to his house in Lezha.

Fortunately, the minor had left the house on time after she rejected the law enforcement emoloyee, although he is suspected of having committed shameful acts, even attempting to have sexual intercourse.

“The Service for Internal Affairs and Complaints has executed the detention order of the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Lezha, in charge of a police officer, acting Assistant Community Policing Specialist at the Lezha Police Station, for the criminal offense, ‘Sexual harassment’. The detention of the 62-year-old was carried out after it is suspected that on April 29, 2021, he attempted to have sexual intercourse with a minor.

From the investigation so far it has resulted that the police officer K.K. used the case that the juvenile was unaccompanied by adults, and abusing the attributes given to her by functional duties, through the deception that she would accompany him to the Police Station, took the juvenile to an apartment in the city of Lezha, had in use. There he is suspected of having committed shameful acts, also attempting to have sexual intercourse. These actions were opposed by the minor, who was forcibly removed from the apartment.

Based on the juvenile report and the preliminary verifications of the Judicial Police, which documented the case with scientific evidence, as well as providing film footage, it was concluded that the citizen K.K. has consumed elements of the criminal offense ‘Sexual Harassment’. Investigations continue until the full clarification of this case”, revealed the SHCBA.
