The Minister says that so far from the field inspections of the Irrigation and Drainage Directorates of Lezha, Durres, Fier and Korca, it results that significant amounts of rainfall during the night and that still continue, have affected the increase of water level in drainage infrastructure, but without creating problems.
"All hydropower plants are in full operation and work is being done to maintain normal water levels, although we have increased water inflows to the main collectors, which carry water to the hydropower plants," says Krifca.
She also communicates that river levels do not pose a concern for flooding. The Minister informs that the technical staffs of the Irrigation and Drainage Directorates are on the ground and are closely monitoring the situation, mainly to intervene with an excavator in case of blockage by drainage canals, and river levels are being dynamically assessed.
