The summer holidays are over. Today, students of pre-university education return to the school banks for the new academic year 2024-2025.

According to the Ministry of Education, there are a total of 350 thousand students, while 28 thousand enter in school for the first time.

The decline in the number of students throughout Albania continues this school season as well. 

1,000 fewer children are enrolled in first grade, while schools are reported to be closed in rural areas of some cities.
