An accident, which caused the death of a person has occurred this Sunday morning on the Korca-Pogradec road segment, near the intersection of the village Drithas, Maliq.

According to the police, a "Benz" car crashed into a pedestrian who died at the Korça hospital due to the inflicted injuries

On his part, the driver of the vehicle was accompanied by the police, while the police went to the scene and are working to clarify the circumstances of the event.

On 24.04.2022, around 11:00, we were informed that on the road axis Korça-Pogradec, near the intersection of the village Drithas, Maliq, citizen L. T., resident of the village Rëmbec, Maliq, driving a vehicle type "Benz" injured the pedestrian K. H., resident in Rëmbec, who was transported for treatment to the Korça Hospital, where he died.

The driver of the vehicle, L. T., was escorted to the Commissariats for further action. The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances and determine the cause of the accident”, said the police.
