The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, and the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, were present this Sunday in Vlora for the 109th anniversary of the Independence of Albania. Meta and Rama took part in the flag-raising ceremony, as they later paid homage and laid wreaths at the Independence monument. 

The Speaker of the Parliament, Lindita Nikolla, was also present, as well as local leaders. Some activities are scheduled to be held today on the occasion of November 28 Flag Day.
