PM Rama Meets Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Issues Discussed

Prime Minister Edi Rama met the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on Wednesday. The meeting in question took place in Athens, while no report was made about it by the Prime Minister's Office. 

The news about the visit has been confirmed by the Saudi Foreign Ministry in a post on Twitter, where it is explained what was discussed in the meeting between the two leaders. 

"Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama reviewed the friendly relations and aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields," said the announcement on Twitter of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The prime minister of Albania has thanked the Saudi crown prince for a fund of millions of dollars that the Kingdom gave to his country. 

During the meeting, Rama thanked Mohammed bin Salman for the Kingdom's 50 million dollar support and for the Public Investment Fund's interest in investment opportunities in Albania worth about 200-300 million dollars. 

The two leaders also reviewed bilateral ties and discussed ways to boost cooperation in several areas, including economy, politics and infrastructure investment. They also discussed possible cooperation in some regional and international issues of common interest," the Foreign Ministry os Saudi Arabia said.
