Pogradec police have continued the operation codenamed "Hudënishti" by arresting two other people for drug trafficking and declaring a third one wanted. Meanwhile, 38 kg of cannabis were seized that were being trafficked by boat to North Macedonia. 

The arrested are citizens Orestis Spirollari and Kleanth Dokollari, who were declared wanted after police found a speedboat with cannabis on August 7, which was going to North Macedonia.

Following the police operation codenamed "Hudënishti", to prevent and crack down on criminal activity of narcotics trafficking, finalized on 07.08.2021, as a result of which 2 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, 3 others were declared wanted and 23 kg of suspected cannabis were seized as material evidence, the amount of which would be trafficked abroad, and in-depth investigations have continued to apprehend other persons implicated in this criminal activity. 

As a result of the well-organized work of the above-mentioned structures, it became possible to detain citizens Orestis Spirollari, 31 years old, resident in Pogradec, Kleanth Dokollari, 22 years old, resident in the village of Hudënisht, Pogradec. Citizen L. Sh. , 20 years old resident in Hudënisht was declared wanted and citizen E.H, 31 years old, resident in Pogradec was prosecuted for the criminal offense "Failure to report a crime".

Based on the information provided during the investigation period, as well as during the control exercised by the services of the Tushemisht Border Police Station and the Pogradec Police Commissariat, in Lake Pogradec, a speedboat was found, with which the suspected perpetrators, were trafficking to North Macedonia, a quantity of 38 kg of suspected narcotic cannabis, which was seized as material evidence together with the speedboat, a raft, a vehicle type "Benz", as well as other items that have assisted in committing this criminal activity. 

Work continues to fully document the event, apprehend and bring to justice the other persons suspected of being implicated in this criminal activity. The materials for further investigation were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Pogradec Court of First Instance.
