A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter scale struck Greece this Monday morning.

Its epicentre has been in Crete. According to the application that records earthquakes, it is said that the seismic tremor may have caused minor damage to homes.

Greek media suggest that following the earthquake that was recorded around 09:15 some passers-by were injured after the detachment of a massif. Some residents have rushed out of their homes while there are reports of two stranded in the Arkalochor area.
