Premier Willing to Discuss DP’s Proposals on Reforms

Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented this Wednesday on the proposals of the Democratic Party (DP) for the 3 constitutional changes, where he focused on the vetting of politicians’ vetting, territorial reform and electoral reform.

In his speech, the head of the government also stated that he is open to welcome any proposal but will not give any opinion without passing the dialogue phase between the parties.

"It is not ethical to comment on these proposals of the DP, given that we have given a total mood to seriously discuss them in the dialogue process that should be nurtured in good faith towards the citizens.

I will not give opinions before we give this dialogue a real chance without confronting our opinions with the chance of dialogue. The quality of a cohabitation in every instance from the small family to every instance is not determined by how often we agree but when we agree.

I want to give a chance to dialogue, the opposition has made three proposals and can do more and what we have in hand is to give them opportunities for dialogue and discussion.

We are ready but we should discuss them with them and not with mirrors where one speaks for himself and does not listen to what the other says", said among others Prime Minister Rama.
