President of the Republic, Ilir Meta stated this Wednesday that he strongly supports the demands of Finland and Sweden to join NATO. 

Meta has called on the Government and the Assembly of Albania to take all measures to complete as soon as possible the relevant procedures and legal acts in order to approve as soon as possible the application of both countries for membership. 

"I strongly support the requests of Finland and Sweden to join NATO, officially presented today to Secretary General Stoltenberg by the respective Ambassadors.
