President Accuses Govt for a 'Antisocial' Budget 2022
President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has underlined Tuesday morning that the draft budget of 2022, approved the cabinet of Prime Minister Edi Rama is antisocial.
According to the Head of State, with this budget increases the total fund of public-private partnerships (PPP) from 636.8 billion ALL, to 830.9 billion ALL, but there is no real increase for 930,457 citizens that live on incomes below 5.5 USD.

- ZERO real increase for 930,457 citizens, living on income below 5.5 USD”, declared President Meta.
On November 25, after debates and discussions, the budget for 2022 was approved in the Parliament. In Thursday's session, 77 MPs voted in favour of the budget for next year, while 46 were against.
Also, the Parliament approved the amendment for additional 60 million ALL for the Vetting institution, Appeal Chamber.
Meanwhile, with a majority of votes, the proposals and amendments made by the former Deputy Prime Minister Erion Brace and the SMI (Socialist Movement for Integration) were rejected.
The proposals made in Erion Brace's amendments referred to the policies to be undertaken in Agriculture as only 8 MPs voted in favour of the amendments of Brace.
