Rinas Police Prosecutes Nine for Illegal Border Crossing

Nine people have been prosecuted Rinas Police during the last 24 hours as they were found trying to pass the border illegally or with a false Covid test.

Six of them were prosecuted for trying to pass towards Brussels, Vienna and Rome with false Covid tests. While three of them were prosecuted for attempting to pass the border illegally.

"Following the work for prevention, identification and crackdown on illegality, the services of the Rinas Border Police have prosecuted for the criminal offense "Forgery of stamps, seals or forms", citizens: R.P, 47 years old and R. Sh., 23 years old, resident in Shkodra; L. L., 21 years old and E. M., 39 years old, resident in Tirana; D. G., 45 years old, resident in Berat and F. T., 37 years old resident in Burrel. 

These citizens were passengers of the lines to Brussels, Vienna and Rome and during the processing of the documentation, they were ascertained by the services of the Rinas Border Police, with a COVID-19 test suspected of being forged. 

Also from the services of the Border Police Rinas was prosecuted for the criminal offense "Illegal crossing of borders", citizens E. Ç. and A. B., 29 years old, resident in Berat, after attempting to cross to England illegally, as well as citizen N. S., 33 years old, resident in Peqin, after attempting to cross the border illegally. 

The Border Police will intensify controls in order to crack down on illegality and increase the quality of service to citizens," announced the Police.
