A 13-year-old girl drowned in the waters of the Buna River, near the village of Zues in Shkodra this Tuesday. 

State Police announced that the event took place at 15:45, while the young victim was confirmed as the citizen with initials Z. L. and was a resident of the Oblika village in Shkodra.

Albaniandailynews.com has learned that the girl who drowned was accompanied by her family members, who were bathing in the river at the time of the incident.

Following the event, the police services went to the scene and are investigating so as to find out anc clarify what happened to the 13-year-old that drowned.

“On 27.07.2021, around 15:45, in the river Buna, in the place called the village of Zues, Shkodër, the citizen Z. L., 13 years old, resident in Oblikë, Shkodër, drowned while washing in the river”, stated the police.
