Spain Dismantles Albania-Greek Drugs Trafficking Group, Eight Arrested
Eight people, part of a criminal organization of Albanian and Greek origin, have been handcuffed by the Civil Guard following an operation against drug trafficking in Malaga, Spain, the Spanish media reported Monday.
In the framework of the Civil Guard’s “Screech†codenamed operation, cracking down on the criminal group that cultivated domestic marijuana in homes in Malaga province was achieved.
On their part, the investigations began after agents tracked down the existence of an isolated house in the town of Torrox, where there may have been a marijuana plantation inside.
After some questioning, they discovered that around the house there were strange movements of people coming in and out of the farm in various rental vehicles.
As a result of the operation, a thousand marijuana plants, 3 vehicles, documentation and various materials for the cultivation and processing of narcotics were seized.
Meanwhile, the detainees were sent in front of the judicial authority, which imposed a prison sentence on all of them.
