The Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) closed investigation and sent to trial former minister Ilir Beqaj and ten other people.

According to SPAK, Beqaj in the role of the director of SASPAC in Albania, collaborated with the other defendant Ermal Kurtulaj, realised fake procurement procedures.

As SPAK says some of the procedures were fake, while Beqaj also made false declaration of assets.

He hided according to SPAK, the 50% of the interests from the company “Albanian Food and Hospitality Services” shpk, an apartment in Vlora and a vehicle.
